Do I need an account?
No. There's no sign-up, login or email. Open the app, tell it your name (or skip) and what you cook with, and you're in.
How do I find something to cook?
Open the Cook tab, tick what's in your fridge, and tap Show me what I can cook. Recipes are ranked by how much you already have, and anything you're missing is listed on the card.
How do I change my appliances or cuisines?
On the results screen tap Edit to go back through ingredients, appliances and cuisines. Recipes only appear if your kitchen can make them.
Fridge Scan
How does Fridge Scan work?
Tap the camera icon in the ingredient search bar, accept the one-time notice, then take or choose a photo of your open fridge. SoloCook suggests the ingredients it can see; tap any it got wrong, then tap Add.
It missed something, or got something wrong.
Good light and a photo from a step back help a lot. Tap a chip to remove a wrong item, and add anything missed by typing or voice. Foods we don't stock yet are listed under "Also spotted".
It says I'm out of scans.
Each phone gets a few free scans a day, and there's a shared daily limit too. It resets the next day. Typing and voice always work.
Is my photo stored?
No. It's read and discarded straight away, never stored or used for training. See the privacy policy for details.
Voice entry
The microphone button doesn't work.
SoloCook needs Microphone and Speech Recognition permission. Go to Settings › SoloCook on iPhone (or Settings › Apps › SoloCook › Permissions on Android) and turn them on. Voice runs on your phone, so some older phones or languages may not support it.

What are SoloCook Originals?
Thousands of single-portion recipes written for specific appliances, from air fryers to the Ninja 15-in-1. The Country cuisines side has a wider catalogue from around the world.
Can I cook for two?
Yes. On any recipe, switch Cooking for from 1 to 2 and the quantities adjust.
Some recipe photos don't load.
A few photos come from the internet. If you're offline, or a photo can't be reached, the app shows the cuisine's own photo instead. The recipe itself always works offline.
Money saved
How is "money saved" worked out?
Each meal you cook counts as one delivery order you didn't place. We use a typical saving per meal for your country, in your currency, based on your phone's region setting. It's an estimate, not a bank statement.
It's showing the wrong currency.
The currency follows your phone's region (on iPhone, Settings › General › Language & Region › Region). Change the region and the total is shown in the new currency.
Your data
How do I start over?
Go to You › Reset everything. This clears your name, pantry, streak, saved recipes and money saved on the phone.
Will my saved recipes move to a new phone?
Not yet. Everything is stored only on the phone you use, which is also why there's no account.
